Ethan is already 2 1/2 weeks old! Not that that's old but we can't believe how fast it's gone. It seems like we just had him. The time is just flying by. I think Ethan is starting to look more like his daddy :)
The last week has been really good. My mom and dad came and stayed with us for the week and it was really nice to spend so much time with them and for them to get to know Ethan. I was sad to see them go on Friday but they'll be back for a visit next week :)
Ethan is such a content and calm little baby. The only time he cries is when he's hungry or getting his diaper changed but he's starting to not even mind that so much anymore. He will just sit in his bouncy seat completely content while we go about the house doing things that need to be done.
He had a checkup at the doctors this last week and they are concerned that he isn't gaining enough weight. He had only gained 2 oz at his checkup on Tuesday but we're not that concerned. He went again on Thursday and was up to 7lbs 2oz. As long as he's gaining and not losing that's good. He has gotten better with nursing more frequently. For the first 2 weeks he went 3 hours between feedings and over the last few days he'll nurse every 1 1/2 hours now. We're happy about that :) He will probably start gaining more now.
Life is going well and we are adjusting to having our little guy here with us. We can't even remember what life was like without him :) We are so in love with him and feel so blessed to have him as our son :)
It 's been a little hard for me being up and about after being in bed for so long, my back gets really really sore and I feel pretty weak. I guess it's to be expected though after laying in bed for almost 19 weeks. Everyday gets a little easier :)

He's probably just going to be a skinny guy like his daddy. Of all my kids, Gavin has been the littlest in terms of chubbiness. It
seems to be a Lockard boy trait. :)

And before you know it, his weight won't slow down! You saw Carson yesterday - he's huge already. It made me sad to think he has practically doubled in size in a matter of 10 weeks.
He's so cute. I can't wait to see him!
I think you're right...he's looking more like dear old dad. I'm glad he's a good boy for you. But be warned, the first one is always the calm one. That's Heavenly Father's way of tricking you into having more. :)
