Changes

Over the last few months Kevin has been actively looking for a new job. This is something he has been wanting to do for the last year or so but changing jobs in the current economy is scary, especially if you have a well paying secure job so we never looked that hard into it until we moved to Marysville. Once Kevin started doing the long commute (which we expected) it gave us the push to get serious about Kevin finding a new job closer to home.

No matter how hard he looked there just didn't seem to be anything out there and nothing was working out. An opportunity presented itself and Kevin wasn't very interested but no matter how many times Kevin said no it just kept coming up again and again. He decided to look into it a little more and actually got excited about it. He decided to apply after the local rep practically begged him  to because he thought Kevin would be perfect in the role.

Kevin went though the interview process which was very long and took about 2 1/2 weeks. We were anxious and Kevin was really hoping to get the job because the more he learned about it the more excited he got. Only about 12% of people that apply actually have a job offer and we were thrilled that Kevin was one of those 12%!  On December 2nd Kevin will start his new job with Edward Jones and have his own office in Lake Stevens. We are excited about it and we really feel like all of the changes that have taken place for our family in the last six months have happened for a reason. We are really happy in Marysville, love our new ward and this job is a great opportunity. It will be hard for the first few years and short term in is definitely a sacrifice, but in the long run it is going to be well worth it.

Friday was Kevin's last day at TD Ameritrade and it has been/is going to be so nice to have him home for a few weeks with us.

We are so happy with all of the changes that have happened for our family this year. Everything from Connor joining our family, to moving to Marysville, our new house and now this new job. We really feel that our lives have been guided and that we are exactly where we are suppose to be.
