On Sunday Ethan was 4 months old, where has the time gone! I think this is such a fun age. He's talking (ok babbling) and smiling and is such a joy to be around.
Yesterday Ethan had his well child checkup. He is in the 50% for weight at 14lbs 8 oz, the 55% for height at 25 inches and the 60% for his head circumference. He had two shots yesterday and let's just say it's not the most fun day we've ever had, he spent a lot of the day yesterday crying. :( He is doing much better today though.
Ethan's doctor said that they tend to start babies with acid reflux on solids at 4 months because it helps them to keep more food down. Less throw ups would be nice. :) We gave him his first spoon feed last night. It went as well as could be expected. Didn't particularly like the taste, made a face then it all came back out. :) We've tried a few more times today and he actually did really well.
Ethan's milestones in the last month:
- He is sleeping through the night!! YAH!!
- He takes actual naps during the day now. 10am-12pm, 2-4pm and from 7-8pm roughly.
- He can sit up in his exersaucer.
- Is almost laughing now.
- Had his first spoon feed.

And I hope someone warned you about the stinky diapers after starting solid food(s)!
Yeah I've heard that and am not really looking forward to the stinky diapers but owell. That's the nice thing about strictly nursing babies, no stinky diapers!
I can't believe how much he looks like Kevin! Babies never like cereal on their first try. It must be weird to be suddenly eating something lumpy and squishy when you're used to a liquid diet. :)
